Forbidden Love - Part 2

The continuation of the docudrama featuring lesbians coming out in the 50s. A wonderful presentation that deserves to be widely viewed.

This documentary is absolutely fascinating, none of it surprises me though, even my own mother told us as young children that if any of us turned out to be 'homosexual' she would rather not be told as it nauseated and disgusted her and was 'sick' in her opinion. Ironically I've been living with my same sex partner (whom my clueless mother adores) since 1997 - she still thinks we're like 'sisters' and that we haven't met the 'right man' yet. We're becoming civil partners in September.

Thanks for telling me that. Now that I think about it, I remember seeing and Old School Pulp Fiction Novel from the 1960's where a 17 Year Old Student Vicky fell in love with her 25 Year Old Teacher Donna and although they had an "affair". Donna went and married her Fiancee Dan.

Moronic? No. Romance novels tend to enforce stereotypes. Homosexuality does not fit into that. It's not to be expected.
