We saw coypu (a rodent native of South America Myocastor coypus) in a pond in Itami, Japan. They were pretty cozy around people.. 伊丹市の池で南アメリカ原産のげっ歯類である、ヌートリアを観ました。結構かわいいです。

  • Cute video. I saw one in a duck pond here in Plano, Texas. Except we call them Nutria

  • Actually, they are also called Nutria here in Japan. They were referred to as Coypu at the aquarium in Philadelphia, so I thought that name might be more popular. It is pretty amazing how they adapt to new environments.

  • awsome so cute hows mao?? will you make any more videos any time soon??

  • Thanks. Unfortunately, it's all up to Mao, whether there will be any funny or interesting videos. Let's wait and see. I'll upload it as soon as I get one.

  • I think I was getting Coypu's confused with Capybara's, whom I'm pretty sure don't have tails.

  • All this time, I thought that Coypu's didn't have tails. You learn something new every day. Very cute critter.
