Coypu being cozy in a foreign country 日本でのんびりと暮らすヌートリア

We saw coypu (a rodent native of South America Myocastor coypus) in a pond in Itami, Japan. They were pretty cozy around people.. 伊丹市の池で南アメリカ原産のげっ歯類である、ヌートリアを観ました。結構かわいいです。

Cute video. I saw one in a duck pond here in Plano, Texas. Except we call them Nutria

Actually, they are also called Nutria here in Japan. They were referred to as Coypu at the aquarium in Philadelphia, so I thought that name might be more popular. It is pretty amazing how they adapt to new environments.

I think I was getting Coypu's confused with Capybara's, whom I'm pretty sure don't have tails.
