When I came across Sidhant Malaiya's cover of Masakkali a couple of months back, a shadow of an idea took shape in my head...and today I've uploaded the realization of that idea....there is a hint of madness in this song which Sidhant has reproduced perfectly...what a fun song!
These pigeons get their daily quota of corn thanks to a benevolent Rajasthani couple...every morning unfailingly this couple can be seen emptying out a bagful of corn at this spot for which the pigeons start gathering on the overhead cables well before their meal time...they come in droves, take their positions on the cables and wait patiently...and no, they don't immediately descend once the corn has been scattered..., they seem to wait for some kind of mysterious signal, sometimes for as long as 15 minutes...but once the feeding frenzy starts, it starts in earnest and the place is pecked clean in 5 minutes flat!
I have recorded the Rajasthani couple on another occasion which I intend to upload some time...May their tribe increase!

Your latest post is just great! My apartment served as a very safe maternity home for so many Kabutar couples!! ... looks like very soon this pigeon population is going to prove to be a major problem to Pune's already messy ecology!
