Episode: N/A
Level: Shub-Niggurath's Pit
Secrets: One
Difficulty: Nightmare

Well, this is the end, my friends. Just one more strange many-tentacled she-demon to dispose of and I can finally have some respite for all my troubles.

It wouldn't be a final level without a fight between a Vore and a Shambler. It's an even contest but little does the Vore realise that explosive weapons aren't that effective against the bumbling white monstrosity. So, in that respect, it's more of a one-sided contest really.

Typical, I had to gain the Quad Damage after there were no enemies to use it on. I like to think Shub-Niggurath felt the full force of it before she telefragged into fountains of giblets. Notice the Shambler next to where the Marine (I think his name is Ranger) stands at the end. It looks like he's dozing rather than lying in a state of rigor mortis.

----------------------------------------

Final Secret of the Game: 3:14 - 3:20.

----------------------------------------

Thus ends my Quake playthrough.

Hope you've enjoyed watching my videos as much I have playing through and recording them.

Again, I shall once more apologise for the darkness of the earlier videos and hope that hasn't detracted any of you from watching the later ones.

Stay tuned as I prepare to take on the Scourge of Armagon as the lone Marine is once more called into battle against Quake's army.

Thanks for watching.

  • Everything is easier when enemies prefer to kill each other. I wonder if there is some Street Fighter-like game where you can use Quake monsters?

And I wonder if we'll ever see Quake the Motion Picture?

Anyway, congrats and a million thanks for another great video series!

  • @Votapardo It wouldn't hurt to develop a fan-based mod/game with that sort of incentive in mind. Just like with any silent protagonist, I'd find it hard to see how a game like Quake, Half-Life or any game of that ilk can be transferred to film successfully. In my opinion, the film version of Doom was pretty pants and I'd hate to see Quake given the same sort of treatment.

Stay tuned, more videos of Quake to come.

  • Quake 2 please xD

  • @TheMonster1777 Funny you should mention that. Quake II is a game that I plan to play through in the future.

  • @terminegger The vore has no chance unless you help it, though. The shambler has resistance to explosive damage.

  • The only way to defeat her is the most hatest weapons in the game. Telefrag!

  • Notice how much Shub-Niggurath looks like the Quake logo when she gets telefragged?

  • Vore vs Shambler?

Very reminiscient of a Spider Mastermind vs a Cyberdemon in the level "Gotcha" in DooM II.

  • Many-tentacled?

She's only got three. That's one less limb than a person.

  • I like how ID just left you there with a short ending message after what you have just been through xD

  • Woohoo! Great job! :D
