Aung San Suu Kyi has been arrested for violating her house arrest (housing an american). Google it for more info. This is breaking news. Likely 7 yrs in prison. Could be bad news for the potential 2010 election, probably wont happen.

I agree why do the West not do anything, I would imagine that because the Russian and Chinese Government backs the Junta, they both sell them arms. If America and the rest of the west stepped in it could cause an stabilized region. America and the west unfortunately at this stage are not willing to step in and tell the Burmese Government what to do, its a little like picking on a small kid when he has some monstrous older brother, in this case 2 monstrous older brothers....
