So, today it rained really hard for hours so I decided to play with some ideas on how to use storms, rainfall, etc, to your advantage when practicing stealth. This is what I found out. The rainfall, wind, and thunder creates lots of extra noise, obviously, helping to eliminate all your sounds. This allows for quicker travel, since you don't have to move as slow to walk, run, or climb, quietly. The ground also will become wet, causing dry leaves to stop crunching. This helps tremendously as well. The rain and mist will hinder the enemy's ability to see, especially far away. The rain will also chill any sentries and get them wet, causing them discomfort which will lower their alertness. Keep in mind that, if you are not strategic, all these disadvantages to enemies might also apply to you. To avoid these, know sentries routes before the rain comes, so you don't have to be on the watch so much. Wait until it has been raining for hours before you infiltrate - this way, you're dry when you start, but all the sentries have been out in the rain for hours and are tired, wet, and cold. Keep in mind that proper clothing must be worn to avoid hypothermia, especially in the chillier months and at night time. This video is for informational purposes only. The music used in this video is "Lux Aurumque," written by Eric Whitacre. The Highlands Youth Ensemble performed on this recording, with me singing baritone. Enjoy!
@orovalleydude Thanks! I'm glad this one is good. :) I'm not exactly sure, but when I pull up files on "Computer" on my laptop, it says "DCIM". I'm not sure if that's the file or not though.
