(Video Note: "Rock" shown is a feather-light styrofoam prop. Overloading Mr. Mercury with extremely heavy objects will cause rapid mechanical failure as will attempting to excecute multiple actions at the same time. Never pressing more than one button at time will insure the robot is only performing one operation at a time. To avoid undue strain on the battery box hinges and closure, never attempt to insert modern high-power batteries such as Energizer or Duracell. The diameter of these batteries is noticeable thicker than traditional dry cells that these toys were designed for and forcing the larger modern batteries into the remote risks a high likelhood of breaking the hinges or closure. Look for traditional dry cell batteries at your local discount or dollar store. Eveready still markets a fine dry cell battery with retro style silver and red label featuring the "nine lives" cat artwork.
