@boffinboy100
yes, you're right about that! US pilots were better than the vietnamese ones, that's why they got control over the airspace. Now I know what you mean !! :P

In battle we didn't lose the gulf wars, but the US aren't the best strategists. I kinda do know what you mean. What I mean is that an army with old weapons can still be very effective. The operators make up for the age of the equipment. In Vietnam, US F4s faced MiG 17s, and although the F4 was almost state of the art, the MiG 17s took a toll on the USAF, and were a dangerous enemy.

old weapons still being used: true
good for training: true
but you weren't true about this: US lost all those wars (and they will lose all their future wars) because they are relentless and don't give a shit about others rights and lives!! know what I mean? ;)

@demanalles112
It is mainly old equipment, but not obsolete. much of the stuff is still used by russia, the 2s19 is the latest SP artillery piece. An AK47 is a near obsolete weapon, but give it to trained men, and it is by no means weak.
Give the modern SAS nothing but WW2 weapons, and they'll still do their job well.
Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq, all old, not new weapons used by the enemies, and they can do such to your forces.

@uzickimajmunac yea, I know but there are a lot of people here (Russians and other eastern European's) that deny that the western allies played just as big a part as the Red army. If the allies hadn't helped each other then the Nazi's would have won.
