Sarafina class act, but you would expect Japanese charge Hiruno D'Amour to be better suited by a faster run race in the Arc and he looks big at 5.4 for a place for Sunday's big race.
Christophe Soumillon got a 15 day suspension, and will miss being able to ride in the Arc for causing Arrivederia to fall in the final race of Satuday's Longchamp card. I wonder who Ballydoyle will look to to ride St Nicholas Abbey in the Arc now with Soumillon suspended?
Here at the horse Racing Tavern we are currently in the Nathaniel camp for the Arc!
At the Horse Racing Tavern you can put your point of view across in our Arc Ante-Post Competition and win a free bet if you pick the winner and put a good argument across!
Galikova's very clearly a talented 3yr.old filly that continues to improve with every race. That said, I can't see her being able to beat the best 3yr.old and older males turf males in the world in the Arc? I could see Galikova as having a big shot at winning the BC F&M Turf though. If she's shipped to Churchill Downs along with Goldikova for the race? I believe Stacelita's the one she'd have to beat in the F&M Turf. As she's acclimated and taken to racing in America very, very well. TJMO.
I don't see Galikova winning the arc but if she do, then we would have the next "Zarkava" ( i would love it) .. She is definitely a crack ( like her sister) but honestly i feel this arc is a bit early for her. This Vermeille wasn't so high level this year, she ran alone.
anybody who thinks that the time of the Vermeille & Qautar as any baring on the Arc should look at last years times and how unlucky Nakayama Festa was after nearly being knocked over in the Arc.
Just seen the Arc winner if Snow Fairy does not turn up, she showed no signes of stopping over a 1m1/2 and she would stay much further, she is a class act.
