Hanuman Chalisa video edited by Suganya Karpagam Seetharaman (Hindi: हनुमान चालीसा "Forty chaupais on Hanuman") is a devotional song based on Lord Hanuman as the model devotee.[1] It is a poem written by Tulsidas in the Awadhi language, and is his best known Hindu text apart from the Ramacharitamanasa.[2][3]
Hanuman (also known as Anjaneya and Maruti) is a Hindu deity and an ardent devotee of Rama, a central character in the Sanskrit epic Ramayana. Lord Hanuman is a bachelor deity and millions recite the Chalisa to seek blessings of Shree Hanuman.
Hanuman Chalisa gained enormous popularity among the modern-day Hindus. Many of them recite it as a prayer every day (or every week, generally on Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays).
It is believed that the person who chants the Hanuman Chalisa 100 times for 100 days will become free from the cycle of birth and death and enjoys the highest bliss, as stated in verse 38.
Each of the 40 Verses of the Hanuman Chalisa convey one particular form of blessing, depending on the Bhav or Shraddha of the devotee, the fruits of the particular verse are attained.

that's right . . but the pooja, as acccording to hindu scholars (who were/are not selfish), is to be performed everyday to keep your mind free of the thoughts about your own sense gratification and to leave the idea of me and mine . but people perform it as if they are restricted to do so. . i've seen old women quarrelling with their daughter-in-law while performing pooja!!! but if the pooja is performed with devotion and concentration, it benifits us to get ovr selfish motives .

How is it the Hindus sings to the god's, give poojas, then turn and hurt their own. quarelling in their homes selfishness and other corruption follows. You can do poojas every year or every moon. which is ok. You do poojas for your world to go the right way, then turn to hurt your neighbor . Selfishness is indeed in their lives, If you do pooja then why your heart is corrupt. You do pooja because it is required for your prosperity or else you are in trouble with your god. Learn to love others!
