@vulgarcowpower Layers upon layers? Bullshit! It's only strings! A Violin, Cello and Bass - they all sound the same just at a different octave! The original had more fucking layers! There isn't even a percussion section! I don't care how skilled of a violinist you are, it's impossible to recreate the sounds produced by a percussion set, saxophone, and electric guitar. This rendition is so impossibly bland and lifeless that it is an insult to the original artwork!

It's nice, but far too much is lost in translation.
The imagery provided by the lyrics is very valuable to the song, and the inherit nature of an instrumental performance doesn't allow for such things (obviously). But far more importantly, the instruments themselves, and the technique used in playing them, are unable to convey the original's chaotic atmosphere - by no fault of the musicians themselves, it's simply just not how this song was meant to sound.
