If you did, I don't think it'd last for long...one of the videos I see on the horizon is an update to DL4 allring (was 3:05.50, update should be 2:30 or less). DL3 14.90 already has the same trick on display, just at a different statue and with a different goal in mind.

There are at least two other ways to get to a small oasis that lacks a turtle, and--for that matter--two ways to get back so you're not really stuck. (There's also a third way to get from small to huge such that huge won't have a turtle, but it only works at a very precise time, while the turtle has just been freed and is on its way to the small pool.)
