The DRIVER FATIGUE ALARM is a head tilt alert alarm. It is used as an additional safety precaution to alert fatigued driver to pull over and rest. It does not cure driver fatigue. It is NOT designed for people to push on when they are, or feel, in anyway tired. Drivers should always take regular rest breaks on long trips. Never get into a vehicle or drive any distance when you are in any way feeling tired, drowsy or affected in any way by any medication, drug, or alcohol.

The sensitivity of the alarm is easily adjusted by simply altering its position on the ear. It's battery operated and comes pre-installed ready to use.

The Driver Fatigue Alarm is more than just a good idea. The most important part of any journey is to arrive safely — but too often we take our safety for granted and push our body beyond it's safe level.

The Driver Fatigue Alarm is a preventative product, just like car insurance. Having one in the car gives you peace of mind. It's like having a little guardian angel on your ear to tell you that it's time to pull over, rest and revive.

Driving while sleep deprived, especially late at night and at dawn, increases the risk of having a 'microsleep' and losing control of your vehicle.

Avoid driving between 10pm and dawn, because your body's circadian rhythms are programming you to sleep during this time.

If you fall into a microsleep and nod off at 100 km/h, you'll travel 100 metres in just four seconds, unconscious.

Early warning signs of fatigue:

•Yawning
•Poor concentration
•Tired eyes
•Restlessness
•Drowsiness
•Slow reactions
•Boredom
•Oversteering

NOTE:The DRIVER FATIGUE ALARM in no way replaces the need for sleep. The only cure for driver fatigue is SLEEP -- lots of sleep -- preferably over multiple full nights of sleep leading up to any drive -- anywhere.
