http://www.ProCPR.org Adult CPR is performed by checking for patient responsiveness, contacting emergency services, and checking for breathing. Next, perform two rescue breaths, check for a pulse, and begin CPR if the patient has no pulse and is not breathing. Perform 30 compressions at a rate of 100 per minute and a depth of 1.5 to 2 inches in the center of the chest. These 30 compressions should be followed by two rescue breaths, and repeat the cycle until an AED or emergency services arrives.
