@ronzzo45 I second that. Perhaps some of the old school ninja don't, but that doesn't necessarily mean that all ninja don't exist.

actually, not really most ninja operatives were of two main clans, the iga and koka. as well as a few here and there. like the fuuma clan (led by the famous kotaro fuma) of the iga and koka, these were samurai clans. who, due to their isolation learnt to offset their reletively smaller numbers by employing different tactics. the were spies first, warriors second,
btw. incase the 'ninja were samurai' thing is confusing, remember samurai = class, ninja is a job, theyre not mutually exlusive

@elgostine No lol ninja's were more like private agency like black water if you compare it and its kinda hard to compare it as ninja's main cause was assassinate and fight for money. Samurai's were the "High class" bunch while Ninja's were farmers/ pesants who would rise against the samurai and the rulers cause they weren satesfied.

more to the point, the main focus of ninjustsu isnt taught in ninjustsu classes, those being escapes, spying, reading the weather, terrain, military strategy long distance swimming and creating distractions, if you wanna see the ninja juhakkai in use, see navy seals, the SAS, and operatives in the FBI, CIA and MI6, in fact during the late edo period, ninja were mostly just the medieval version of the IRS/FBI.
