WHen I was a kid,..his name was the first professional football players whose name I memorized. I wasnt even a Cleveland Browns fan. I just got so used to hearing his name in the late 70s early 80s. Always seemed like a classy winner. I'm 39 now and still can remember seeing that guy constantly showing up in the playoffs.
SDSU - You just dont realize what you have in that guy. Great QB

You guys are in luck at SDSU. This guy is a real gem....very smart and a winner. Sipe was my hero as a kid. He was a great Cleveland Brown. I am 36 and luckily got to see him play. I won't say too much more because JohnCharlesPalazzo's comment above me was well put.

During his professional career in Cleveland, Sipe was never given enough credit for the superb athlete that he was and ironically, that is probably because he was such a smart player. I will never forget the game against Green Bay in 1980 where Sipe, with 25 seconds left, recognised a Green Bay blitz and calmly looked over to Dave Logan and changed the play with a nod of the head and coolly tossed the winning pass.. The young Aztec QBs will learn things from Sipe that will make them winners
