  • Great facts.

  • they just dont make them like this anymore......its sheer class

  • Yeah and when you watch the scene where Gort iz carrying Ms. Neal the legs are fake and you can see wires keeping then stable

  • Interesting info but this guy reminds me of someone I know who is a geek! lol. I agree with johnnyrambo33 "nice hair" LOL!

  • Not one time has anyone ever mentioned that the robot was played by my Aunt Bertha.

  • The costume for GORT was a work of art...look closely at the scene when GORT carries Patricia Neal...you will see several holes under the chin for ventilation. Also, when GORT carries Klaatu after he was shot....he is actually carring a 10 year old actor to over stress the size difference

  • Okaaaaaaaaaaay. Now tell me something I don't know! The only thing bizarre in this video was the man and why was he standing and acting like he was giving some scoop on TDTESS? This is info is all well known!

  • Not sure where this stuff about Michael Rennie being Irish comes from. In fact he was born in Bradford, Yorkshire and died in Harrogate, Yorkshire. I was surprised when I found this out because for years I laboured under the misconception that he was Canadian!

Still - most people in Britain and North America have a bit of Irish in them!
