what exactly does powerlab mean? just turbo'd?
i got a Z and want more power.... what are my best options with the stock block?
at first i was looking into an ls2 lol

i think my issue was with the nismo y-pi[e is prone to having cracking issues when paired with test pipes...ive heard nothing but good things on motordyne and the welds were very good quality..where did u hear those things? ive been on the forums a while and havent heard anything bad about a motordyne product
-
i prolly take it too far, but i seriously jack my car up at least once a week, (usually 2 or 3) just to check things over, ive had alot of problems with 2 sets of berk high flow cats out and cracked a set of test pipes and cracked 1 mid-pipe..i think it was cause of my nismo y-pipe, but i jsut put my motordyne xyz pipe on yesterday with resonator and the car sounds amazing and feels great, hoping my exhaust problems are behind me now

good point

i agree torque is what the rods do not like and the reason i went with a vortech to be my daily driver and sold the t-netics kit i originally bought, yet im still making 425whp and 355 ft. lbs only at 9-10 psi and fine with that for my stock block daily driver.. i also still 100% say with a good solid tune and 9-10 psi on a powerlab kit would be fine on stock block for a good amount of time if taken care of properly and not driven like a retard and u have some gauges to monitor
-
Negative sir... the turbo's produce more torque which is ultimately causes motor failure. True the psi may be the same between supercharged and turbo but for example I'm pushing 336lbs of trq at 6.5lbs of boost. A vortech won't be anywhere near that.
-
its all in the tune dude..ive been on 10psi and 425whp now with 355ft. lbs. for over 8k miles daily driven, not a problem yet knock on wood..yeah im vortech supercharged, but psi is psi and a good tune is a good tune, im very aware the z is not boosted from factory, lol and im still stock block to boot that out the window
-
no on a stock block it wont, i have the powerlab kit on mine and im at 8.5psi with 410whp.... i took my car to zfever in Tampa FL to get my car tune and they are all about nissan. first i went to CFT in Orlando FL and they set my car at 10psi..... i was good for a little but then my car started to have some problems.... remember the 350z is na not boosted, so you have to do some internals
nice...why not run a little more boost..i take it ur stock block but it will take more than that with a good tune

Well I hope so.. so far I've put on 2400miles. Its about time to change the oil and check the spark plugs.

Hmm if you've been having a problem with cracked pipes then why go with motordyne? Heard they had bad issues with cracks.
