How to transfer Data from a Xbox 360 Slim to another 360 Slim

With 2 new 360 slims launching this holiday, a lot of people want to know how to transfer their data from one slim to another. All you need is 2 xboxes, a transfer cable and a First Generation 360 external hard drive.

Are you positive this can work because i have xbox slim and im getting brand new Gears of war three xbox and i wanted to transfer my memory over just curious?

@pb0109 did u find out how to transfer slim data to gears of war slim? i called xbox support they said they have a new transfer cable for slim on slim but they keep shipping me the wrong one lol but i called them again and they say gamestop will have them in a month or two

@johncena0954 there is no slim to slim cable, if there were it would have to be a male usb to male usb style cable, since both HD are internal now.  THIS WORKS. I upgraded my Slim black to Slim Halo Reach edition.

Hell ya, good call this really does work, I just did it on my new Gears of war 360!! I took over 4 hours to do, but that is only because I had so much data to move. Thanks for the tip!! Remember: Brothers to the End 9/20/11 !!!
