@nativemother I talked toa friend of mine the other day who used to play the drums in a punk band with me and he went on to play jazz and all types of music. He told me that even though jazz is the music he loves now, that nothing in the music world has ever compared to the energy in punk. That's what punk is: an outburst of energy and it wouldn't be as energetic if it were more complicated. It is a challenge using the same chord progression that everyone uses and coming up with something unique

JAZZ? = amazing REAL music, punk = music for ppl who don't know how to play anything other than the basic same old over used power chord, usually just 3 or 4 different ones doing the same thing the whole time with maybe a possible small switch up for the chorus
