The Wrath of TYPHOON "ONDOY"
Philippines ---- Inundated - September 26, 2009

In less than 24 hours ago, the worst rainfall in
42 years struck Metro Manila and Luzon. It was
named typhoon Ondoy. It left several thousands
of people homeless and hundreds dead.

Here is footage of how the terrible monsoon
affected my parents' house in Quezon City.
This occurrence happened before in our street
about a month ago. But this case was much
more worse. We've also heard that many other
places in the country are in far worse condition.

I was thankful that the damages to our house
was minimal and we were better off than the
ones who had their belongings washed away by
the flood, whose houses were completely
submerged or whose lives were lost.

Up to now, there is no power or internet
in our area. I was able to upload this video
by going to an internet cafe with a generator.
God help those other people who are still
stranded and lost in the flood.

I hope this wrath of nature never happens again.

  • Hello, Angela. :-)

Thank you for watching and commenting on this video.

I kept smiling in the video to assure our relatives that we are okay.

I also have reason to be happy because we are still lucky our house was not totally destroyed as compared to the many people who lost everything in the typhoon.

Thanks again for viewing this, Angela. ;-)

  • Hi Chinaeyes22, How are you guys doing now, is the situation getting any better? i saw your noY Tube T shirt, would you be selling those? I am on Toronto, i was in Manila in June and I am coming back in december no date set yet, i would like to buy one. let me know thanks

  • Hello, Balomega! A lot of people are interested in

buying a NoyTube T-Shirt. I still don't know how to

send the shirts overseas for a cheap price. But I

will let you know if I've figured out a way. :-)

  • sorry guys, we have to blame on our leadership they are just too corrupted to spend money on proper city drainage systems, some if not most of the houses are not built to withstand any of natural disasters. sad to see these videos, i asks my self why???why??i still dont have any answer, is it God doing this to his own creatures? may be i shouldint have brought God in here. all we can do is to help one another.

  • Thank you so much for your sentiments, Balomega.

I guess there is nothing we can do but move on and learn from our mistakes.

We should also be responsible with our surroundings to avoid natural calamities like this.

  • Nga pala kuya sarap ng kain mo jan.. Ginutom tuloy ako!!

  • I forgot to mention how ironic it is that in your Boracay video, you mention how thankful you were that you lived in a tropical country.

And now you say the same thing, but of course the meaning is just the opposite.

Keep your chin up. Stay safe, Jason.

  • find a friend/relative in some of the country where you have a lot of request and make a deal with him /her to act as a dealer, you send bunch of them and they can distribute from their country, will be cheaper for buyers of single Tshirt, thats just my suggestion it may or may not work for you, take care bro.

  • yes its true, there is not much we can do but to minimize any contribution for our changing climate, for we are all guilty ,we should adapt and be prepared for more of disasters change our lifestyles in using non-biodegradables, too much energy consumption etc. and so much more to blame. for the damage we've done to our world, may not be solved in a snap of a finger or perhaps not in our lifetime... but we have to start and act now.hope we leave a much better world for our children's children

  • Hello, brak2004. Sorry for the late reply.

No. The sandbags only helped a little as small amounts of water were able to trickle through.

And you're right. Water entered through our bathrooms, laundry room and floor drains. :-(
