On Tuesday once a month they run the straightliners full track, allowing 1 mile up and 1 mile down braking, unlike this event, that due to noise regulations means that they have to start half mile down the track, giving just 800m to brake! Jack frost and his turbo busa's which were doing amazing speeds, but were hitting the grass...at 200mph, it felt like Worlds greatest braking event! Then the transmission oil leaked out, so had to call it a day before the magic 200mph - bummer!

Not many people realise that the bike has no engine braking. After a high speed 200mph run I have to hit the neutral button, before hitting the brakes. At 400ft a second, that's a lot of runway being used up, thinking of what to do. It takes off slow, due to the turbine spooling up, then at about 400metres the power really kicks in, so the best speed of the day 195.4mph, was done from around 1200 metres.
Hiya MadMaxAuto ( nice name!!)
Wasn't 'having a go' with regards to the acceleration..was just what I initially thought when I saw the launch. The video doesn't show the obvious hike in boost further down the track.
Was good to see one of these being used in anger!...most seem to be a 'collection' buy.
Hope you crack the 200mph barrier soon. Ride safe...rb
