Ken has a point about crime. We should put this in context. London is a city of 8.2 million- it records an average of 120 murders per year. Rio de Janeiro has a similiar population and records thousands of murders per year. In fact in European terms, London is safer than Amsterdam, Helsinki and many eastern European cities. Im not suggesting there are not genuine concerns or problems because there certainly are, but if crime was going down, the press wouldn't prioritise that report.
