In time for the 10 year anniversary of 9/11, I share with you the last film I made before my diagnosis with multiple sclerosis. It was called Lest We Forget - it connected the post-9/11 racial backlash to the World War II post-Pearl Harbor backlash against the Japanese.
I was without having any MS symptoms - I finished the film when I was 24. I remember it during that time that I was working harder than I had ever had before and I'm glad I did because I got the opportunity to artistically reflect on such a monumental experience in our history.
I always thought that this would be the film that I'd be the most proud of - I worked tirelessly on it and it turned out better than I had ever imagined... but as I'm winding down post with this film, I see that this has potential to be the film that I am most proud of! Plus. a;; your words of encouragement help me think this (When I Walk) is a unique film!
I don't know how much good it will do? But, I just posted this to my f.b. page. Keep up the good work.
