HaHaHa...yeah ok, well, when Mr. Jones can play the entire piece, including the harmony and bass lines and not just the melody, without the aid of a rhythm section, on 6 strings you let me know. The difference between a "guitarist" and a "guitar player" is a guitar player needs a band to sound like something, a true guitarist needs only a guitar.

Ok,maybe I used a wrong term,but you have to agree that most el. guitarist play single line melodies...Have a nice day(considering that it is about 6 a.m. in the States)!Now I'm going to bed with Nachtmusik playing in my head! It should be a good nap...

@8stringNoob Yeah, but that Costello guy is a electric guitarist.And el. guitarists are "team players" because of monophonic nature of el. guitar(unless one is using a touch technique a la Stanley Jordan) .Other examples of "single line" instruments are violin,sax,flute etc.Classical guitar is like piano or accordion.It can be used in a solo performance as well as in a band.Different instruments,different techniques...Both great,if you ask me.Now I'm being a smartass...I should stop here...
