This aria is a very difficult one to pull off,but Thomas certainly does it!
It requires a full blown baritone with a good chest register,and for the soft high notes an almost tenor like head register,these two are both here in this young man.
He also has a very good technique(essential) and ,from his suit jacket going up and down ,a strong breath control
Combine all these things and you have what Thomas has,a guarantee of a great career in the future.
