Stop for one second and imagine if you will paying maybe a couple of dollars to sit in your seat and see this line up of of unique talent.Hard to even think about today I know.Alongside Benny Goodmans 1938 Carnegie Hall Concert,surely the greatest gathering of jazz legends ever.Big Sids drum solo is a treasure.Oh for that time machine!!!

Hey, I have just started buying v-discs. I cant buy too many as I am still at school so funds are limited! I really dig this record here and would love to get a copy. I think this tune is taken from the esquire concert in 1944. can't be to sure tho as I havent listened to that record in ages, I'll have to dig it out. Is this 'Mop Mop' a hard one to come by?

This is the Navy(Blue label) N135 B, It was also issued by the original Army(Red Label) 152 A. That may help in your search. You are right, it did come from the January 18,1944 Esquire Concert. Good luck and thanks for listening.
