Wisconsin Union - The Heart & Soul of University of Wisconsin-Madison

The Wisconsin Union, often referred to as "the heart and soul" of the University, has enhanced the lives of members and visitors since it was founded in 1907. The Union is based on the principle that the University of Wisconsin-Madison experience should involve learning outside the classroom.

An estimated 15,000 students, faculty, staff, Union members and guests eat, meet, learn and relax in the Wisconsin Union. The Wisconsin Union has historically blended study and leisure, providing recreational, cultural, educational, and social opportunities. Union events, programs,and services continue to showcase this ideal today.

The Wisconsin Union features more than 1,000 events a year brought to you by the Wisconsin Union Directorate, the Union's student volunteer programming board.

When does every citizen have the right to give to the campaign or candidate of their choice except for public employee unions bc of mandatory union dues?This fight was not about workers' rights, it was the first amendment rights of workers and the union bosses effort to preserve their money machine to support their own interests over the average American. The union bosses' effort was so pathetic they bused in people from other states & damages done to capital building were upwards of $300k.
