This is a what I'll call kind of a "step-by-step video with pictures" demonstration DIY DJ Booth facade. You can make this with simple parts and minimal tools. All you will need to do is take a trip to Home Depot, Lowes or your local hardware store and Jo Ann's Fabrics & Crafts or any other fabric shop. If you follow these simple instructions you can do this in less time than it would take to a couple of episodes of "Home Improvement" lol.

In this video I outline the tools needed, materials and steps needed to fabricate this DJ Facade.

  • Hey ! bro whats up my name is dj carlflow wanted to know how to setup kareoke with

serato? what do i need to set up?

  • @badboyznyc You can't do karaoke with Serato, you will need something Virtual DJ. I use VDJ for karaoke and mix House & Trance and I use Serato for mixing Hip Hop & R&B

  • @RudeDog66 well you CAN use karaoke with serato if you convert it and get the $200 video sl plugin

  • @djfrankis Thanks Frank I do have Video SL and yes you can if you want to convert all of your karaoke zip & mp3+g files to AVI or FLV, etc. But who wants to do all of that? I am very happy using VDJ to do karaoke because it can play my little compressed zip files which allows me to have over 150,000 karaoke zips on a 1.5 terabyte with tons of room to spare.

  • I have been talking with the Serato Dev team for over a year. They say that they do see a need for Video SL to play zip and mp3+g files so look for them to implement that sometime in the future... (don't hold your breath though, Serato still doesn't have the ability to play FLAC files yet they keep saying they're going to put that in a future update ,lol) DJ RuDe

  • rudedog66, nice vid MAN, could you pls tell me where you bought that tripod tv stand?is that like wall mount stand adaptor?pls specify.tnx

  • @crispa02 Thx! I made the stand from and old TV stand I used for karaoke in the 90's made for old tube TVs. I modified it by cutting up the stand platter for the TV and welding on an LCD wall mount plate. Then I reused the parts of the old platter to use as guards in case the screen gets bumped or knocked over.

  • did you spray paint the pipes or would that look bad

  • Thanks for this impressive video. I couldn't find any facades anywhere that were not made of solid materials. I wanted to try and buy 1 built from curtains or something I could fold up to not take up much room in the car for when I getting to and from gigs. But this video shows you how to build it :) nice 1

  • Man you dont need to be set up dead center, your idea is great the way it is. I love the fact that you hide your subwoofer that way. As you said, maybe a logo on the outside for some events, thus the velcro but over all I like what you did with minimum finances. Regards, DJ Malarky out.

  • Nice job

  • @RudeDog66 WOW! never thought of it that way

  • hot ... good looking.. im bout to make my own soon..... thanks

  • great tips ... the 3 way section and the hiding of the sub.........brilliant, makes a change to watch someone giving genuine good tips ...Thanks
