  • The Gold Fields in the 87-99 Gold Rush were all in Yukon, Canada. Only an American would call it the Alaska Gold Rush.

  • I lived in the Kootneys for a few years. Lived in the Leland hotel, In Nakusp, the oldest running hotel in BC at the time. A true goldrush hotel. Right on the lakefront, had its own little museum and everything. Place was a dive though, I remember stumbling back home at night and seeing the entire snowbank in front of the hotel soaked in blood. I was only 17, drunk all the time, never got any sleep there. Good times...

  • Great video. This will be a helpful introduction to the Alaska Gold Rush.

  • With all the history of how few actually made money in the gold rush, still today people bet against the odds and are still go there thinking they're going to strike it big.

    -Great stories of great legends.
