@kamaboko1 Have to disagree with you. Steve is smoother, and controls his voice better then Arnel...Way better. Alot of the concerts Iv'e seen him in on U tube, He's shaky and flat on the high notes. NO ONE CAN MATCH PERRY. Arnel is the closest though. Props to Journey for moving on. To bad todays shit music will keep them off the radio.

I grew up listening to Journey throughout the 70's and 80's. I like Steve Perry...but HE is not Journey. I like Arnel....in my opinion....the best singer Journey has ever had.

I Love this record! Best since Frontiers....definitely! And Pineda and Augiers and Perry are all great. They don't make the Journey sound...you know it's Journey before ANYONE sings!!!!!

I love Steve Perry as much as the next person for Lead singer for Journey but give me a break, Imitation or not Arnel can sing and has a set of pipes on him. Journey needed to come back and Steve was not about to reunite...so I give Journey major props for bringing back the music WE LOVE regardless of who they got to sing lead.

And if Arnel was in before SP, then people would be saying SP can't replace Arnel. At the end of the day it's a moot argument. I've seen Journey twice with SP. Arnel replaced him, and does a fantastic job at that.
