  • If you were going to see a game, this was the one. Sat right behind the penalty box. Went with my brother, his girlfriend and his girlfriends "WOMAN'S LIB" type friend from college. After the first handful of fights, she was up screaming about how all the violence and testosterone was everything she was against and she LOVED IT. That was the day she learned that there were times when MEN still should be MEN!

  • Thanks for uploading, I was at this game! One of the best sporting events I've seen in person!

  • Awsome to see these vids. Been a fan of the North Stars/Stars since 1988, and we didn't get to see games here in Finland at that time. Thx for uploading!!

  • @thebig1 I dont know if Id use the word "falter". I mean, Let's look at it. The last 8 seasons they have 2 Cups, another Finals appearance, and another Conference Final appearance. And as of now theyre one of the top 3 teams in the league. One Cup, the other Final appearance and the Conf Final were all AFTER the lockout. Thats better than anyone else. Lidstrom,Franzen,Datsyuk,Zetterberg,Helm,Hudler,Filppula,Kronwall,Howard, all drafted. And simple logic just says that you can't win forever.

  • @tjcurrie You notice how in the last few years the red wings are starting to falter abit right? In the era of the salary cap they have had to rein in their way of doing things. How many cups have they won in the last decade? one? A few years ago they would have had 4 in 6 years.

  • You cant say they "bought" their Cups. They used all their resources like every other team does. Via trade, draft, and yes free agency. It's not "buying" just because they did it better than anybody else. They built a winner piece by piece.

    Anyways....

This is great footage. Im the world's biggest Stars fan and though I was crushed that they lost this one, there are great memories. I watched the series with my Dad, a Wings fan. I miss the North Stars I tell ya that.

  • The Red Wings were starting to emerge as an annual Stanley Cup contender in 92

  • This was the last playoff game the Minnesota North Stars ever won.

  • @thebig1

Your obviously entitled to your opinion

  • @ErikS1975FreeState The Red Wings bought all their Stanley Cup Rings just like the Yankees do in Baseball.
