Konda Mason is a filmmaker living in the San Francisco bay area. She has worked on numerous films and documentaries and her most recent endeavor is the successful digital full-dome film "Tales of the Maya Skies" that she produced for Chabot Space and Science Center in Oakland, CA.
In the summer of 2010, Ms. Mason came to Borneo, Malaysia and headed up a team of young filmmakers and worked with them on producing videos for an anti-coal campaign that resulted in the canceling of the proposed coal-fired power plant. In January 2011 Ms. Mason took on the job of traveling to Senegal, West Africa to produce and direct a documentary on the "10,000 Girls Project", an innovative program that combines education and entrepreneurship as a means of lifting girls out of poverty.
Additionally, Ms. Mason is a facilitator and trainer for the Pachamama Alliance "Awakening the Dreamer, Changing the Dream" symposium. She co-leads the Social Justice committee for the organization.
Konda Mason is currently working on her Sustainable Leadership certificate from UC San Diego.
