Velddrift - Berg river, Western Cape

I've kited at Velddrift (Berg river) a few times as the water remains like glass, even when the wind's blowing pretty strong.
One can get impressive speeds there in light wind by speed standards.
The only draw backs is that the launching area is limited and not kite friendly, and there's a nasty smell from the salt pans which are upwind in a SE.
