This is a prefect example of how little things can be material. Mark Hurd was $100 million HP CEO and was fired for falsifying $20,000 in expenses. Amounts don't have to be BIG to be Material. Little amounts are material if the RESULT of the little number is material. For example, would it EVER be OK with the bank loan officer for a borrower to run personal expenses through the company?
