The Firestone Tournament of Champions was always a special event on the Pro Bowlers Tour. The introductions were always a bit different than the rest of the shows....1984 was no exception. Here's the 1984 opening of the Firestone from Riviera Lanes in Fairlawn, Ohio.

Chris Schenkel and Bo Burton...that was Saturdays with my mom. LOL...she rooted for any black bowler who made TV, which meant George Branham III and Curtis Odom. Lol...that was it. I rooted for Amleto Monacelli. He was money

Chris was incorrect when he said that he'd been to all twenty previous Firestones. He was NOT present in 1967 when Jack Biondolillo shot the first nationally televised 300. Chris did not see a 300 until 1987 when Pete McCordic did the feat in Los Angeles.
