@simonwilliams87 maybe because real karate practitioneers have a little more skills on stock than just kizami tsuki, gyaku tsuki mae- mawashi and yokogeri? -_-
karate has a whole takedown section that is sadly often neglected,the traditional takedowns are usually incorporated or following kansetzu waza.

@PariSmelsLikPIS i never thought of the grappling in karate that way. great way of summing it up. It has always grated at me when ppl classified karate as a strictly striking art and uve just summarized it perfectly :)
