I can't tell you how many times I've been in a situation where I truly needed
this flex head ratcheting only for that size to be one of the skipped Craftsman sizes that I don't have. It totally aggravates the hell out of me.
People are better off buying a complete set from Gearwrench who by the way invented these ratcheting wrenches. They offer complete sets in both Metric and SAE with no sizes skipped and up to very large "Jumbo" sizes.
@TranceScene finally someone to point out the obvious. now crafsman has the open end wrenches that ratchet and there skipping sizes. they claim the set has most commonly used sizes but what about the times you do need that size that is gone or what if you happen to use a certain size alot that doesnt come in the set.
And if you happened to have received incomplete set as a Christmas gift like myself, you have to buy the missing sizes individually in the "Gearwrench" brand at a higher price to make a full set and have every size for the job.
You pay more that way than if you bought the full set the first time. I don't know why Craftsman couldn't have just made a full set available.
Unfortunately Craftsman only offers these in 7 piece sets. This means lots of size skipping and Craftsman does not make/sell the missing sizes seperately. There is no 14mm for example, which is what I use a LOT of.
Because of this, more often than not when I really need this flex ratcheting the most in a tight spot, I don't have the right size so I have to do it the hard way.
If you want the full set with no size skipping, you have to buy the full set of "Gearwrench" brand.
