Recently, Art Sellinger, Jason Zuback and Jamie Sadlowski of the Pinnacle Distance Team visited Acushnet Companys golf ball testing facility in Acushnet, Massachusetts for a long drive exhibiton and research demonstration in which Jamie and Jasons swing mechanics, launch profiles and 200+ mph ball speeds were recorded and analyzed. Members of the media were invited to attend this unique examination of two of the most powerful and impressive golf swings in the world. Pinnacle was there to capture the event on video so you, too, can share in this once-in-a-lifetime demonstration.

In this, the first of four video installations, watch as Jamie Sadlowski (just before his record-setting win at the 2008 RE/MAX World Long Drive Championships) discusses his swing with Art Sellinger, talks about how hockey helped to develop his action and puts some amazing numbers up on a Trackman launch monitor.

  • Both Jamie and Jason jumped back and forth between their 45" "play" clubs and 48" Competition drivers.

Their Cobra clubheads are custom built with thicker faces and crowns. These heads actually produce slower ball speeds, but it's necessary - they'd crush standard heads after only a handful of shots.

Not sure what you're referring to when you say impact is slowing the clubhead down. Probably just a function of the video's framerate.

    Thanks for your interest!

  • Correct me if I am wrong but doesn't it say in the video after the first shot that it carried 367yards - but in the end of the clip the longest measured carry is 361.3yards. What's the deal?

How many shots did they hit? Are "warm up" shots included in the stats?

  • Yes, sorry for that bit of confusion. Trackman did capture the first five or six swings by Jamie, but the results were not recorded into the Excel file that Trackman outputs. So ,strangely enough, his first drive out of the gate was his longest.

  • i wanna learn how to get that double levered golf-swing.

  • i thought tiger woods is your dad..

  • I thought it would be Sean Fister since you're into that...does it hurt when he does that with his fist?

  • Of course impact slows the clubhead down! It is simply a function of Newton's Laws and the conservation of momentum!

  • heyyyyyy you know art sellinger is my daddy!!!!!

  • thank u for your responce...very interesting

  • again..how long is that club...45"46"47"48"...what???? and what are u using 4 a club head??? Looks very light...the ball @ impact..is slowing that club head down???
