A quick demo of a simple Film Look effect that i have created using basic tools in Adobe without the use of Magic Bullet. It can probably be done in sony vegas and other pieces of software. I tried it in Adobe Elements, and it seemed to work.

This is a video shot on my new camera the Panasonic HDC Sd100, these are just some random shots that i took one day as a simple test. Then i took the AVCHD files into Adobe and used colour correction to make the video look a bit more like film. I hope you like what i have done!

  • looks good but i think it has a little too much vignete

  • @MrPianozzky yeh i agree if im honest. This was when i initially made the effect, i use better settings now. Thanks for the comment though

  • Excellent work! Absolutely brilliant. One question? How did you go about making your own jib?

  • @RAINONDABEAT hey man, cheers for the comments. I basically just went to a hardware store and found some cheap, lightweight materials and based my design around them. Its basically a parrallelogram. I hope this helps, it would be best to look at some tutorials, but on my channel there is a video of me and my jib. Check it out! :) word of warning, if you are thinking of making one, youll need a good sturdy tripod, ive worked with jibs that have collapsed before now :P

  • Quite some work there, I hope to go to the Brit school so I can do Media, also, how do you do the blacked out edges? That the only thing I can't do.

    Thanks.

  • @itgamer100 hey, if you create a 'circle', then invert it and change the colour of it to black. Then change it so that the layer mode is 'normal'. Then adjust the size of the circle and the feather to your liking. I hope this helps.
