@achahei = What? You are religiously wrong my dear. Don't accuse of something which you cannot prove or you will be taken right where you stand now against the Marcoses. Have a shame on yourself. Tum bohot acha nahi hei..di ma karrab...Ahmed, Abu Dhabi, UAE

I was in high school when Martial law was implemented. I recall the violent protest of the time and I was a witness to most of them because at the time, joining these rallies was just an excuse on my part to miss school. IMHO martial law did good the first 3 to 4 years because of the was able to calm things down a bit and help the economy recover. Too bad it ran too long and people found ways to abuse it. I believe it is better to learn from our history and move forward than keep blaming it.

Sad to know your discontentment about the Marcoses, but in my point of view, The Lettermen are brought by the Marcoses to perform in 1974 with the Miss Universe Beauty Pageant. I think Imelda Marcos are truly fitted to get some credits for bringing my favorites here. I'm in no politics policy, it's get me sick even to these days.

Me punto ka, Darkangel123177. Pero siya rin ang naging ugat sa mga nangyayari sa bansa natin ngayon. Corruption was introduced to all politicians in our society and even simple Filipinos embrace corruption in their own little way. What if si Macapagal ang nanalo noong 1963? Martial Law will not happen I'm sure.

Great song but some sad comments. We have to be honest to ourselves first. Was it better during Marcos time or the last 20 years? Were there more atrocities then or now? Aren't more filipinos leaving to work overseas now than during Marcos's time?

Maaaring tama ka, mas maraming gustong lumabas ng bansa ngayon kesa noong Martial law, but the roots of corruption starts in that era. Inabot ko pa si Pres. Macapagal noon, Grade 3 ako sa Elementary at ang tanging problema ng bansa ay insureksiyon at krimen na talamak din ngayon. If we can only bring back the hands of time, sana'y di naipatupad ang Martial Law. Politics today gain corruption through it, mana-mana lang.

Highly inappropriate for images of the Marcoses to be associated with such a lovely Filipino classic. To think that thousands of Filipinos had to slog and slave in foreign lands to feed their families while this infamous couple looted their country and led fabulous lives makes me want to puke even now.

I'm with you. achahei but "Dahil sa Iyo" of The Lettermen was obviously associated through the effort of Imee and Imelda Marcos.
