Hi, I have been getting a lot of comments about piano sounds. The micron has no piano preset. I programmed one thats rather convincing, especially coming from a micron. This thing suprizes me everyday. It was made using frequency modulation.

  • What preset did you start with?

  • Hi, I manually initialized one of the presents so a sine wave was playing without filters, modulation or effects.

  • Ha, yeah I got that in the description, but what already existing preset on the Alesis did you edit to make it sound like that?

  • Oh sorry. I don't remember by now, but the preset you start with doesn't make the slightest difference because you will be reducing whatever you pick into one oscillator playing a sine wave.

  • I wish I could get my piano to sound like a Micron... ;-)

  • I must say, you take programming to a whole other level. Ahh, greatness.

  • @PezzJune Made a patch but it still needs a lot of tweaking, I feel that the envelope to modulate the FM amount is wrong on mine for example. When I'll have it up depends on how un-lazy I am.

  • @HANKpuntoesclamativo a quanto pare no

  • @TheShledge then?

  • @TheShledge let us know please!

  • I'll attempt this patch tonight. I suspect it's a mixture of FM and ring modulation.

  • Sounds really good. Good old frequency modulation.

  • great, I wonder I can do that on miniak...

  • This is a great sounding E piano. Gtechture is definitely a skilled programmer. A pity that we all aren't as skilled and a pity that he won't share his secret. I'll use my synths for what they do best; inventing new sounds never heard before. It's fine if I can't produce sounds as realistic as this, because I won't be and don't need to be the best synth programmer on the planet... Really, who cares?

  • This sounds AMAZING!

  • This is remarkable!
