For this to be succesfull it needs to be afordable . Plus i dont think most towns would alow them on peoples roofs they are ugly. Why does it cost 3 grand to install ?

I always love it when people complain about the price of high tech products but have no clue how much it costs to R&D this kind of stuff. Millions of dollars were spent developing and perfecting this wind turbine. Rather than whine, if you're so smart you go build a wind turbine that meets the same performance standards and sell it for thousands less. I'm not holding my breath waiting for you to deliver.
P.S. Anyone who starts a sentence with "dude" is probably not getting it.

pmaura - a properly grounded lighting rod would be a good idea to mount, just as you would on a rooftop antenna.
