Fire cupping in China- Part II-Warning Graphic Content!

Ok, so after 15 minutes of wrestling with the skin sucking fire cups, the doctors carefully removed them. Some were purple and they said that I had a lot of "Huo" which means "fire or internal body heat" in Chinese. Me? Fiery with a lot of internal heat? uh, duh! They also said that shouldn't let wind get into my open pores, whatever that means. They suggested i come back 2-3 more times to get rid of all my "Huo" but I have never been back...not because it was painful, but because I didn't feel any different. Besides, i kind of like my "huo"! :)

you didn't feel any difference because it is a long-term treatment, not like surgery or other things, fire cupping is something to do with the circulation of our body.. and the very dark bit near your shoulders means that when you were sweating the wind brought the coldness inside your body..

IT's kinda sad how ignorant people are ether because they are scared of something or don't understand it. just look at acupuncture how long it has been around but many people thought it to was a con or just made up been has been show over and over again that it does in fact work and sometimes a lot more then western medicine. Fire cupping has been around for along time way back to egyptians time. also another freaky thing using leaches to suck out the toxins in the body.
