A hawk rests on a fence post after catching a pigeon in flight. The pigeon is still alive after several attempts by the hawk to sever the preys' neck with its beak. Another successful pigeon hunt.

  • Is it just waiting for the pigeon to die?

  • @olive4naito

it was prob waiting for me to leave so it could eat in peace. the hawk never really took its eyes off me for very long. I was about 40 feet away

  • At least it didn't kill the pigeon for mere sport like another certain species that will remain nameless...

  • that is a very young pigeon, probably about 4 weeks, no wonder it got caught but what a horrible death!!
