  • I really hate modern professional singing. Rather hear an amateur choir and soloists.

  • I feel rather more like I'm listening to the beat of a metronome than music. If I am not mistaken then do let me know if any of you too see the emperor unclothed.

  • beautiful.

  • That vibrato its a reflection of bad technic...i don´t like it.

  • I do not agree at all. The Karl Richter's version is completely missing the intention of the speech.

Too slow... it seems a romantic piece and not baroque.

I don't recommend that version and really I prefer the Harnoncourt's one.

  • Yes, I noticed that they differ...

  • Peter Schreier is hard to top. This tenor is all articulation, there are some serious breath support problems here. Not enjoyable at all. I disagree about the Munich Orch recording however. I think they take themselves way too seriously, Bach should be played leggiero most of the time. The Munich orch is way too heavy and pompous.

  • Beautiful music in itself, but the Karl Richter version with the Munich Bach Orch & Choir is infinetely more impressing (a.o. with baritone Fischer-Dieskau and tenor Peter Schreier).
