lol u knw wut, i think ur making ur point in a very horrible way, u shouldnt say "do they speak arabic?" or "i thought yemen was an arabic country" firstly as it has been said, arabs are originated from yemen, go and read "history for dummies" and we DO speak arabic sweetie, but u have 2 u understand that each language have different slangs. the arabic spoken in egypt is not the same in lebanon, and that in lebanon is not the same in kwait and etc. same goes for english

english is not the same in US, UK, Canada and australia. and due to ur humble knowledge in both history and language, u may have not understood the slang used, but the jury in cairo film festival understood it very well and the movie won an award as the best arabic movie of the year 2005. and notice sweetheart, that was in cairo, the capital city of ur own country,... wow u need 2 do a lot of readin, God bless

You must be American. Read up on some history the Arabs originated in Yemen , and migrated from there.

yemen has a very diverse sort of accents and dialects. A village 2 miles away from one sounds like the gulf accent. And another closer to this Sanany accent. My village we use the hard GAF...like the gulf.
others use the qaf like in the quran. I cant explain why. but supposedly it was done on purpose centuries ago so one tribe could keep secrets from the other and know a stranger. Personally, I think the North African is the hardest;but I understand them all. Ive heard them all in Dubai.
