Old Train

Old style train pulls up at Flinders St Station in Melbourne. Filmed it incase I never saw one like it again. Look at the old seats!

When did this train start to operate?

I look quiet old.

On that paticular 3 car set 9M-1919T-144M, each carriage entered service in a different year. The oldest carriage dates from 1973 whilst the newest dates from 1978. This set is still in service today (although not for much longer) and was renumbered. It's now 277M-1919T-278M.

I have seen only one of those trains since 2003. They say that they are getting scrapped.

they plan to keep those untill 2012 i think (i hope)
