MLB Production in Clinton

MLB Production shoots video of the Field of Dreams Ghost Players. MLB Productions is working on a documentary about the 1919 White Sox for a TV series on the MLB Network. The Field of Dreams Ghost Players were brought together for te shoot by Joe Scherrman owner of DreamCatcher Productions in Dyesville, IA.. MLB Production Senior Producer, Jeff Spaulding and Director of Photography, Brian Schulz set up and recorded the production in Clinton IA at Alliant Energy Field, Home of the LumberKings.
A special quest Ghost Player was Nic Ungs. Nic is ten year MLB player last with AAA Florida Marlins. Ron (Hank) Lucas portrayed the 1919 coach during the shoot. Hank played MLB in the minors for the Dodgers, Tommy Losorda was the pitching coach then. Other Ghosts were Nic Hunt and Mike Schuster. Joe Scherrman, owner of DreamCatcher Productions produced the movie Ghost Player Relive the Magic and Co-authored the book, Travels With Ghosts and Other Tales.

The pitcher, Nic Ungs has 10 years in the pros and currently a free agent. The coach, Ron (Hank) Lucas played pro ball with the Dodgers back in the 60s.

Note the way they "block" set-ups at the beginning. The players do not throw the ball at first. Once the cameras are in place, the producer is happy, then it's real action.
