Senator Ken Salazar, Representative Michael Merrifield, party chair John Morris, candidate Hal Bidlack, and other luminaries came to Colorado College after 2 more attempts by the El Paso County clerk and recorder, Bob balink, to suppress the vote at the college with LIES, deceptions, and threats to keep the students from voting for Obama.
After a great rally and some great BlueGrass music, hundreds marched down to the central polling place at Centennial Hall to vote en masse. balink had closed half of the 6 early voting precincts this year in a further suppression tactic, for which he is infamous.
balink, a republicon, sent false threats, warning of possible consequences if a student registered to vote in Colorado and is claimed as a dependent on a tax return in another state or fails to register his or her vehicle in Colorado. He claimed that students who register in Colorado must abandon any prior residency in other states and makes their departure from their parents homes permanent. BULLSHIT.
He hired a known GDop hatchetman lawyer, Erik Groves of Denver-based Zakhem-Atherton LLC (303-228-1200), to threaten students with IRS problems for their parents (costing the parents the $3,500 tax deduction) and vehicle registration fines and impoundment for voting, after telling the bald faced LIE that they couldn't vote in Colorado if they were claimed as a dependent on their parent's taxes in another state.
This is bullshit, and its not supported by law, said state Senator John Morse. As state Party Chairwoman Pat Waak pointed out, he did NOT send this information to the conservative Air Force Academy college, UCCS, PPCC, or any other college, but CC.
He later withdrew that directive and apologized for "misinterpreting" state law (BULLLSHIT) an then tried the IRS and vehicle threat to suppress the student vote.
They reacted patriotically, as you see in this video.

Very well, actually, thanx for asking. Just passed extensive healthcare reforms, and although it wasn't enough, we'll kick your ass further on that later. Next we're going to pass Medicare D reforms to stop the CRIMES you punks gave to the pharmaceutical corporations. Then banking reforms to stop your crimes there, along with continued economic stimulation.
BTW, hows that remedial reading course for Palin going? Did she get her GED yet?
And how's LimpDog's packing for Costa Rica going?

Just the way I saw it. It's all good for Democracy to get more people involved in the process, which is NOT a spectator sport, and to do it with such a party atmosphere.
College-aged people proved people wrong that say they're slackers and aren't involved, and America proved people wrong that say you can't elect and black person to president.
It's a new day.
